Shunsui knew that this would happen when everything settled down after the Gotei 13 defeated the Wandenreich. Central 46 had somehow managed to wedge the sticks that were already up their asses even further and called him, the other captains along with Kisuke Urahara and Ichigo to stand in front of them and explain themselves one at a time. They would’ve had the Royal Guard come down to explain why they let Kurosaki become a full-fledged Shinigami when the boy still had a heartbeat, but the Guard didn’t have to answer to them. He had to give Central 46 credit though, they had the balls to do this even after the Soul King awoke, came down (Shunsui didn’t know how the King had managed to keep his Reiatsu in check when he did), gave them all a mega power boost alongside the pill they took that temporarily gave all the captains and their Hollowfied Bankai powers, and Juha who pulled his last power card in where he gathered all the power of the Qu

Sewing of the Souls Part 2
Morning came and Rei was the first one up. She didn’t sleep too well because of the dreams that invaded her mind. Dark shadows and blood were the most prominent in them and even the face she saw in her reflection made a brief appearance. Rei even sore that within one of the dreams, she heard someone or something whispering in her ear but she couldn’t make out what it was saying.
Standing at the window she looked out onto the edge of the forest and watched birds of multiple colors fly from tree to tree carrying on with their daily lives. Speaking of lives, Rei wondered if her, Murdoc’s, Russel’s, Noodle’s, and 2D’s lives would carry on normally after what they had just been through. She doubted it but Rei knew that all of them experiencing darkness was nothing new. Still, what happened to them would change their lives forever.

Sewing of the Souls Part 1
The hooting of owls and other nighttime birds echoed throughout the forest and smoke billowed from the stone chimney of the two story cottage that the Evangelist led Rei, Murdoc, and their souls to. This was the place where she would put the souls back into their bodies. The souls themselves were in the basement in a room that was covered in all magic symbols and runes awaiting the transferal. Murdoc and Rei were in the bathroom with Rei sitting in the tub while the bassist carefully washed her back making sure to avoid rubbing the cuts that were there. He had already bathed and now he wanted to make sure that Rei was all cleaned up before the ritual occurred.
Rei sat there with her knees to her chest staring at the stained glass bathroom window. She felt the bassist gently washing her back but her mind was somewhere else. Seeing her soul really had an impact and she felt this empty feeling inside of her when it happened. It was like a part
Genghis Whenever we were bad my mother used to take us to the mall to see Genghis Kahn. They kept him in a dusty diorama of a Mongolian steppe, all tall grass and yurts. He sat on a throne of bone (well, plastic shaped like bone), scowling in incomprehension at the American kids who flocked around him like startled lemmings. My mother would usually push us toward him, saying things like “Tell him what you did to your father’s stamp collection.” Genghis would give a grunt, spit a wad of phlegm onto the tall grass, and give us a wizened, wrinkled grimace, as if he had to go to the bathroom.
He terrified me.
My brother couldn’t get enough of him.
When my brother got caught in my mother’s evening dress, my mother grabbed us both and dragged us to Genghis. It was a slow day, and we were the only kids crowding him. “Tell him what you did,” my mother hissed a
